U4GM - 10 Vendor Locations in Fallout 76 That Pay the Most Caps (Tips/Locations)

When it comes to making caps in Fallout 76, knowing where to sell your items can make all the difference. After hundreds of hours exploring Appalachia, I’ve learned that not all vendors are created equal. Some locations offer consistently better returns and more reliable Fallout 76 caps than others. In this guide, I’ll share ten of the best vendor spots I’ve personally used to turn my loot into profit, especially if you're looking to offload valuable Fallout 76 items efficiently.

Whether you're a seasoned wastelander or just starting out, these locations will help you maximize your earnings and make your runs more efficient.

1. Watoga Station

Watoga Station is always my first stop when I’m loaded with gear. The proximity to Watoga Shopping Plaza means you can quickly access several vendors, but the station vendor alone is often stocked with caps and buys a variety of Fallout 76 items. It’s also a convenient fast travel point near several endgame zones.

Tip: Combine your selling run here with farming nearby Scorched enemies for additional loot.

2. Whitespring Resort (Shopping Mall)

This is arguably the most lucrative spot in the game for selling items. With multiple vendor bots inside the Whitespring Mall, each with its own cap stash, you can make serious profits in one trip. I often sell my excess legendaries, weapons, and plans here and walk away with a full 1,400+ caps in minutes.

Tip: Split your sales between the different vendor types to avoid hitting individual limits too fast.

3. Sutton Station

Sutton Station is one of the earliest vendor locations you’ll encounter, and it remains useful well into the endgame. It’s reliable, easy to access, and frequently stocked with a decent cap reserve.

Personal experience: When I was just starting out, Sutton was my go-to for unloading early junk and armor. It helped fund my first CAMP upgrades.

4. Charleston Station

Conveniently located and often overlooked, Charleston Station offers a solid vendor bot with a good selection of caps. It’s also close to multiple event areas, making it a natural pit stop after a public event.

Tip: Save this for later in your route if you're doing a vendor loop down south.

5. Grafton Station

If you’re farming Super Mutants in Grafton or nearby, the station vendor is a perfect place to unload. I’ve used this spot regularly after clearing out the Grafton Steel Yard and always walk away with a nice cap stack.

Note: This vendor often has high-value Fallout 76 items you can flip elsewhere.

6. Camden Park

While not the most obvious vendor location, Camden Park has a vendor bot that’s useful if you’re farming in the Ash Heap. Plus, selling here while grabbing some Camden Park daily quests is a great way to earn on both ends.

Personal note: I once sold an entire stash of alcohol and pre-war food here for 300+ caps—never underestimate the value of “junk.”

7. Morgantown Airport

This spot is both a good farming zone and a solid vendor stop. The vendor bot here has a predictable inventory and is usually flush with caps, especially after server resets.

Tip: Combine with looting the nearby airport terminal for extra Fallout 76 items to sell.

8. Foundation (Settlers)

Once you’ve progressed in the main Wastelanders storyline, the Settlers at Foundation open up a great vendor. I’ve found their vendor to be very reliable, especially when I'm in the Savage Divide area.

Pro tip: If you’re running treasure maps nearby, Foundation is the perfect vendor pit stop.

9. Crater (Raiders)

Just like Foundation, the Crater vendor becomes available after the Wastelanders expansion. The Crater is one of the more aesthetically interesting areas, and the vendor here pays well and is worth visiting if you're farming up north.

Tip: Sell excess ammo here—Raiders tend to have high ammo value caps.

10. Berkeley Springs Station

This is more of a secret gem. Berkeley Springs Station isn’t usually crowded and has a reliable vendor bot with a full cap stash. It's located conveniently between several high-yield farming areas like the Mire and Eastern Regional Penitentiary.

Personal insight: I use this spot at the end of my loop to offload my last batch of loot—it’s never let me down.

Selling loot in Fallout 76 is as much about knowing where to go as it is about what to sell. The locations above have consistently paid me the most reliable Fallout 76 caps over hundreds of hours of gameplay. By visiting multiple vendor bots across Appalachia, especially in high-density areas like the Whitespring Resort, you can stretch your cap gains and ensure no Fallout 76 items go to waste.

Keep in mind vendor caps reset every 20 real-world hours, so plan your selling runs accordingly. And as always, happy trading, Vault Dweller!
